Salient Features of Hyderabad Metro Rail


  • L & T MRNL of the $ 12 Billion ( 72,000 cr ) L & T group is the Concessionaire


  • Eco friendly elevated stations at every 1 km distance with natural ventilation � passenger access through staircases, escalators and lifts.


  • World class travel facility at affordable ticket prices ranging from Rs 8 /- to 19 /-


  • Lower energy consumption (1/5th of road vehicles) & significant reduction in air and noise pollution.


  • High efficiency in urban space usage, occupying just 2 meters (7ft) at ground level � one rail line equals to 7 bus lanes or 24car lanes


  • A 3-car (coach) train carries 1,000 passengers & 6-car train carries 2,000 passengers. Hyderabad Metro will carry more that 50,000 passengers per hour in each direction.


  • Video Cameras in coaches and CCTVs in stations for better security.
